Better to have documents in place and not need them than to not have them when you need them.
Support groups are a great way to meet others who have experienced similar things you and your family have been through as a brain injury survivor. Meetings are open to brain injury survivors, both traumatic and non-traumatic, stroke survivors, and loved ones and/or caregivers.
Topics discussed include the labor process, hospital birth plans, when to contact medical providers, breathing techniques, medication, self-care and methods of childbirth.
Taught by our very own ECU Health Duplin nurses, our childbirth class offers instruction on the labor and delivery process.

“We’re a limb you can hold onto”. This group provides support for individuals with limb loss and their family or friends. Please join us on the third Thursday night of each month (excluding December). Note: the Disability Advocates and Resource Center is not a support group, but is a resource for people with a disability. They are located on John Hopkins Drive.
