Kenansville, N.C. – ECU Health is expanding access to orthopedic care in Duplin County and surrounding communities with the addition of Dr. Robert Friedman, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine, at ECU Health Orthopedics – Kenansville. The addition of Dr. Robert Friedman strengthens ECU Health’s commitment to expanding access to specialty care for rural communities across eastern North Carolina.

At ECU Health Orthopedics – Kenansville, Dr. Friedman will provide comprehensive orthopedic care for adult and pediatric patients. He will treat fractures, joint pain, labrum tears, ligament injuries, rotator cuff tears, sprains and strains and tendonitis. Dr. Friedman will also offer a variety of procedures including arthroscopic surgery, carpal tunnel release, fracture reduction and stabilization, shoulder replacement, total knee replacement and trigger finger release.
