Rock Steady Boxing is a Parkinson’s management program dedicated to improving quality of life for people diagnosed with this disease, as well as atypical Parkinsonian disorders, including Multisystem Atrophy, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Corticobasilar Degeneration. Patients across all levels of symptom progression are experiencing improved motor function as a result of the program’s intense non-contact, boxing-style exercise program. Regular and consistent activity, such as this, is now considered an essential component for the management of Parkinson’s symptoms.

Rock Steady Boxing is a fun, engaging and unique exercise program, based on training used by boxing professionals, and adapted to benefit people with Parkinson’s disease. The program involves regular exercises, such as stretching, bicycling, running, jumping rope, push-ups, balancing and lots of non-contact boxing, led by specialized trainers and coaches. Rock Steady Boxing serves men and women of all ages, levels of ability, and symptom severity.

Class Schedule & Information

Rock Steady Boxing is designed specifically for those with Parkinson disease as well as those with Atypical PD (Multisystem Atrophy, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Corticobasilar Degeneration). The program involves regular exercises, such as stretching, bicycling, running, jump-roping, push-ups, balancing and lots of non-contact boxing, led by experienced trainers/coaches. Rock Steady Boxing serves men and women of all ages and levels of ability. Classes are limited to 15 participants per session.

Schedule

Tuesday & Thursday from 1-2:30 p.m. and 2:45-4:15 p.m.

Monthly Rate (includes two classes per week)

  • Members: $60
  • Non-members: $85
