Giving you and your family tools for wellness.
The ECU Health Well-Being Zone was designed to provide learning programs that engage community members to practice healthy habits. This active learning program shares ECU Health’s mission to improve the health and well-being of eastern North Carolina.
The ECU Health Well-Being Zone was modeled after the Outdoor Classrooms project, a Culture of Health Leaders* Strategic Initiative.
Community Garden
The community garden includes raised bed planters. These planters house a variety of crops planted year-round by ECU Health team members, volunteers, and community partners. Learn how to plant, care for, and harvest fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs to support well-being.
Learning Space and Exercise Space
ECU Health hosts events open to the public for health and well-being. Learn more about art in nature, exercise, gardening and food prep, or to get health screenings. Check our quarterly newsletter for a schedule.
Drop in from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each Wednesday and Friday to see what is growing and get samples of any food that is ready to harvest.
